1 week left
June 12, 2010 - 12:00 AM

Next week is Path Presentations. Glad I'm scheduled for Monday and can sit and listen to others the rest of the week. Plus I can't believe we only have 1 week left of school. Where has the time gone? I'm on the graduation committee and all decorations have been purchased. Things are coming together. Onto the real world and what is out there!

Shiatsu

Did a complete 1 hour Shiatsu session in class with assessment. Was a lot of fun and really enjoyable. What an experience. Can't believe all I have learned and know.

Finished my meridian project. Tried to be a little creative. But glad it is done.

Letting Go Day
May 26, 2010 - 12:00 AM

In Shiatsu was a day for letting go. There was a lot of crying. Felt very comfortable with my class mates sharing what needed to be out of me so I could move on in life.

Path Project
May 21, 2010 - 12:00 AM

Spent the day working on my Pathology Project on Craniosacral Therapy and the effects it has on someone with a TMJ Issue. Results are quite miraculous.

1 month left
May 19, 2010 - 12:00 AM

I can't believe we are all going to graduate in just 1 month from today. How the time has flown by.

Business Plan
May 19, 2010 - 12:00 AM

Wednesday 5/19/10: I just finished completeing my Business Plan for my Professional Development class. It is not due for 2 weeks. It was a lot of fun to work on and Lisa Kay was there to help guide me with any information I needed and she answered all my questions. What a relief and I feel very confident about it.

Cadaver Lab
May 15, 2010 - 12:00 AM

Went to the Cadaver Lab on Tuesday. Was absolutely awesome. Was able to see all different muscles in the arms & legs and organs such as the brain, heart, lungs, kidneys, intestines, etc that we have learned about in Myology & A&P. I highly recommend doing this for the knowledge and experience to know what we as future massage therapists are affecting and the changes that we can help with for our clients.

Busy Week!
May 11, 2010 - 12:00 AM

4/20/10: Applied Techniques - Love neck work, both giving and receiving!

4/21/10: Really enjoyed Shiatsu. Learned about Yin and Yang. Can't wait to actually get to apply the Shiatsu techniques in class.

4/22/10: Pro D - spent the afternoon filling out paperwork for the NYS Exam. Can't belive we are that close and will be graduating soon. How quickly the time has gone by.

A few things!
May 11, 2010 - 12:00 AM

On Wednesday 4/14/2010 started Professional Development course. This class will be exciting to learn what my future holds ahead for me in the massage world.
On Thursday 4/15/2010 took the Neurology final. Was easy. Got 60 out of 60. Woo hoo! As long as you paid attention in class and took notes of what Harout told you to know, and you studied, you'd definitely do good on this final. He's a great instructor and very knowledgeable.
Thursday 4/15/2010. Had a great night in clinic. Even had a repeat client. That was such a good feeling knowing that someone enjoys my massage work and requested me. Yippee!
Friday 4/16/2010. Community service at Albany Med. Went by quickly. Really enjoy chair massage and can tell the people receiving the massage do too.
Saturday 4/17/2010. Just realized all our sciences are over. Miss them already!
